As UN/(I)NGO staff are increasingly required to fulfill multiple roles in the course of their work, a basic understanding of incident an crime scene investigative procedures has become a valuable asset. HDFF’s 2.5-day*Stay SafeSpecial Skills Training: Basic Investigation* provides participants with the skills needed to respond to and investigate a variety of security and criminal incidents. Participants will acquire knowledge of internationally recognized best-practice principles and procedures, and how to successfully apply them to a variety of situations they may encounter in their working environment.

TRAINING OBJECTIVES

§ To provide participants with a functional understanding of basic investigation principles and procedures

§ To understand and be able to apply various interviewing techniques in a security investigation scenario

§ To understand and be able to apply practical skills related to room search

§ To develop the appropriate skills to secure an incident or crime scene

§ To understand the basic of cyber-crime and cyber-security, and to development mitigation measure
